ViewTick remover
If you’ve ever had to remove a tick using tweezers, you’ll know how difficult it is. After a particularly stressful experience at a pet sit, we invested in a tick tool and couldn’t believe how well it worked! Now we safely remove ticks from ourselves and our four-legged friends in seconds!
ViewApple AirTag
These little trackers from Apple allow you to track things from your iPhone. We clip one onto a dog’s collar when we’re out on walkies while pet sitting, for peace of mind just in case a dog decides to chase after something and runs off!
ViewDicky Bag
Our Dicky Bag is our favourite item for dog walks in the countryside! A portable, odour-free bin for holding empty and full dog poo bags, for those times when bins are few and far between. The Neoprene style is water resistant and is machine washable at 30 degrees!
Our review of Dicky BagViewDicky Bag disks
These Dicky Bag disks have been designed to fit the Medium – Extra Large Dicky Bags, to keep the bag smelling fresh!
Our review of Dicky BagViewDicky Treat bag
This treat bag has a small slot at the top for quick-to-grab treats, and we find it’s roomy enough for a lot of them! Your four-legged friends will thank you.
Our review of Dicky BagViewEarth Rated dog poo bags
We’re so happy every time we arrive at a pet sit to find Earth Rated dog poo bags. They’re big and strong, so no mess is getting out, and they’re made from recycled plastic too!
ViewBeco compostable dog poo bags
We love finding Beco bags at a house sit – especially these compostable ones. They can be disposed of in home compost bins, so we feel good knowing we’re doing our bit for the planet!
ViewEarth Rated dog poo bag dispenser
The most elegant poo bag dispenser we’ve ever seen! This design from Earth Rated is sleek and easy to fill, AND has a hook on the back to carry full bags.
ViewFlexi lead 5m
We love Flexi leads for those times when dogs can’t be let off lead, but we want to give them a little more freedom. This 5 metre Flexi is good for small and tiny dogs.
ViewFlexi lead 8m
We find an 8 metre Flexi is good for walks in the countryside, when there aren’t many other people and dogs around and we can give dogs more freedom to roam.
ViewRuffwear shock-absorbing dog lead
This lead is great for walking big or strong dogs – the bungee element takes the shock out of a sudden pull, so you can stay on your feet!
ViewRuffwear harness
This Ruffwear harness is heavy duty but lightweight, with 6 adjustment points so you can tailor it to fit any dog. Our trip-pawd buddy Leah has this harness and it’s fantastic for helping her on our walkies!
ViewCollapsible travel bowl with lid
We discovered these silicone bowls at a pet sit when we took a day trip with the dog in our care, and needed a way to transport her food as we wouldn’t arrive home before her dinner time. The bowl is spacious enough for a generous amount of food, while the lid securely clips into place to keep food contained. When it’s empty it can double up as a water bowl, and can collapse after use for easy storage in our bag! Perfect for adventures with four-legged friends.
ViewBeco dog bowl
This elegant bamboo bowl from Beco is lightweight and great to take from place to place, if you want something more sturdy than a foldable silicone bowl.
ViewFoldable dog bowl
We always carry a silicone bowl on our dog walks. Small enough to fold and fit in a bag, and has a carabiner to clip onto a belt loop.
ViewChuckIt! balls
The ultimate ball for endless games of fetch with four-legged friends! These Chuckit balls are ridiculously bouncy and buoyant, and their bright colour makes them easy to find (no more rooting through tall grass!) They’re made to last with an extra-thick rubber core, and the smooth surface means we can easily wipe it clean and put it back in our bag – good as new for our next doggo pals!
ViewHi vis arm bands
For late night dog walks, or long hikes into the evening, we attach these reflective velcro bands to our arms and bags. We make sure we’re visible from all angles with the placement of these bands to alert drivers, horse riders and other walkers to our presence in low light, ensuring we’re safe while out and about.
ViewDog car seat belt
It’s vital to ensure dogs we’re pet sitting are secure in our van if we need to drive them anywhere. This dog seat belt clicks into a normal seat belt slot, and simply clips onto a dog’s harness (NEVER on a collar) so we know our pooches are safe and comfortable.
ViewRing security camera
If we ever need to leave pets at home for a short time when pet sitting, for example to do our food shopping, we set up this sleek and subtle Ring camera system to remotely monitor the pets from our phones while we’re out. We can speak through the camera via our phones too – in the past we’ve used this function to tell a dog to get down from a dining table…
ViewApple TV
An Apple TV lets us log into all our streaming accounts – Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ etc. – in one small, portable device. This means at pet sits we can plug in our Apple TV and instantly watch anything through our accounts, meaning we don’t have to log into the home owner’s, and we can start watching our favourite shows straight away without messing up their watch history!
ViewMulti port charger
We bought this ultra sleek multi-port charger after completing so many pet sits in older houses where there were too few wall outlets to charge all our gear! This charger plugs into the wall and has four ports (2 USB-A and 2 USB-C) for charging multiple devices simultaneously, including our laptops, all from one outlet!
ViewHead torch
Whenever we’re out for night time walkies while pet sitting, we take this bright head torch with us so we don’t have to rely on our phones being charged to use a torch! We can see where we’re walking on narrow countryside paths and it alerts drivers to our presence when walking along dark roads with our four-legged friends.
ViewWurkkos TS22 Torch
It’s always handy having a small but powerful torch for night time dog walks, especially along dark country roads where passing traffic might not see you. This little torch aways surprises us with how much it packs a punch – it can shine 4500 lumens! It’s also USB-C rechargeable, so it’s easy to keep the battery topped up.
