This guidebook was our most valuable investment when we hiked the Hadrian’s Wall Path. It outlines the entire route no matter which end you start from, and has handy maps and illustrations as well as details of campsites and BnBs. Highly recommend buying this book to accompany you if you’re hiking the HWP!

The Van Conversion Bible

The Van Conversion Bible is the ultimate guide to planning, designing and converting a campervan. We found this book extremely useful when planning the conversion of our own home on wheels, with its detailed explanations and step-by-step guides.

Monopoly Deal

Our most played game by far! A card version of classic Monopoly, that only takes 15 minutes.

Uno Flip

A newer version of Uno, where each card is double sided. The addition of the new ‘Flip’ action card means players must flip over their hand and play with a whole new one! Quick, easy to learn rules and a fun card game for two or more players. We love teaching this new version to our friends and family!

Dobble

A matching game with 5 different ways to play. We often play a quick round in the van to decide who’s emptying the toilet!

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza

Taco Cat always has us in fits of giggles as we try to remember the order to say the words, while trying to remember the actions that match the cards! Even more fun with a big group of people.

Bananagrams

Like Scrabble, but at speed and with a travel-friendly banana storage pouch! We love taking Bananagrams to house sits to spread out on the dining table and play a few rounds.

Six Second Scribbles

Each player is given 10 items to draw in just 60 seconds, and the other player has to guess what’s been drawn! Another quick-fire game that always makes us laugh, as we desperately try and decipher the other person’s scribbles.

Dog playing cards

Is any road trip complete without a few card games? We LOVE this dog set from Rex London.

Exploding Kittens

A quick Russian-roulette-style card game, with kittens, laser beams and explosions. Weirdly addictive!

Kindle

We love having a Kindle for those times when we can’t travel with dozens of books! The perfect travel item for those who love to read on the road.

Nintendo Switch

We invested in a Nintendo Switch each so we can play games on the road, on long travel days. We also love bringing the dock to house sits, so we can plug into the TV and play together!

Mario Kart

We’ve put hours and hours of our lives into Mario Kart (and we’ll challenge anyone to a race!) Super fun, super addictive!

Mario Party

A combination of a board game and mini games that change each time you play. We love playing a long round of Mario Party after a long day of travelling!
